Preparatory activities- Initial ideas
To start, there a 2 separate people (boy and girl) leading separate lives, then they meet at a party/BBQ during the day, and this will be displayed using a Point of View shot. This will happen during the first minute of the video, then for the other 2 minutes shots will be of the couple having fun, doing cute couple things together such as stargazing, playing basketball together and walks along the beach.
A second idea for my music video will include two different times, past and present. The past shots will include shots of the couple when they were together having a good time, and the present time will be shots of the girl, missing the boy and regretting leaving him somewhat. With this one, the shots at the beginning will be of the couple having an argument, then the rest of the shots will be of when the couple were together having a good time. The performance part of this video will be set in the present time, so the past shots will have an 'old filter on them' to differentiate easily between the two time frames.
Beginning
The couple have an argument, leaving the girl crying and upset, implying that he has cheated. The end of the beginning will have an aerial shot of the girl laying in bed.
Middle of the song
These shots will jump between present day (performance) and the past, depending on the lyrics of the song. These shots will include performance and narrative. They will show a montage of all the fun times the couple had together, when they first met, stargazing and cute beach walks.
End of the song
Towards the end of the song, some more footage of the couple having an argument will be displayed. These shots will also include footage of the girl with a new man doing fun things, and clips of the old man upset.
