Preparatory activities- Analyse of music video Things 'Let me go' includes in the music video: There are two videos for this song, and I am basing my research on the montage video. Number of cuts: 113 Colour Narrative aimed at younger adults Quick edits and cuts No performance Various settings Male gaze- Female vocalist Summer clothing Summer activites Beach location- Summer Different ethnicity and cultural backgrounds Summer vibes- Having fun, laughing and smiling There is a lot of people involved in the music video To start off, the video it is a POV shot of the boy walking into party, and I was thinking of doing a similar type of shot  in my music video, when the couple first meet. As the song progresses, good summer vibes are shown throughout and I am going to try and incorporate some of these within my music video.

Preparatory activities-  Planning (settings, locations, props and costumes) For my music video, I plan to use various setting/locations and costumes and these will be dependent on what shot it is. At the beginning of the music video, it will be set in a messy bedroom with both of the main characters in there. They will be having their argument over the bed, or with the bed in the background. The shot will be dark, maybe with no colour. During the middle of the music video, there will be a montage of the couple's memories mixed with performance. With the performance, this will be based on the streets with street art in the background or on a remote beach with the tide out. In terms of the couples memory shots, they will be shot in various locations such as the beach, a basketball court and a dark starry night. The costumes of the characters will be summer based i.e. sunglasses, shorts and t-shirts. With the performance side, the protagonist will be wearing shorts, a ...
Preparatory activities-  History and ideas of my song Let me go-Hailee Steinfeld Hailee Steinfeld's song was first released on the 8th of September 2017 available for a digital download and released by Republic. It was released in the United States on the 12th of September 2017 by Universal and the 29th of September in Italy. Let Me Go peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 charts on January the 13th 2016 at the 40th position and spent 22 weeks in the chart to date. The music video to this song underline the vocalist's dilemma, and the video presents 2 sides of the girls' life where she is forced to choose between fame and love. He proves his worth by letting her go to fame, but the protagonist doesn't seem happy with the life she chose. The singer wants somebody to love the boy in the ways that she couldn't. There are 3 things that can be taken from the video and they are 1) the long term is looking bad if they stay together, 2) she knows that the problem is her...

Preparatory activities- Mood board
Preparatory activities- Initial ideas To start, there a 2 separate people (boy and girl) leading separate lives, then they meet at a party/BBQ during the day, and this will be displayed using a Point of View shot. This will happen during the first minute of the video, then for the other 2 minutes shots will be of the couple having fun, doing cute couple things together such as stargazing, playing basketball together and walks along the beach. A second idea for my music video will include two different times, past and present. The past shots will include shots of the couple when they were together having a good time, and the present time will be shots of the girl, missing the boy and regretting leaving him somewhat. With this one, the shots at the beginning will be of the couple having an argument, then the rest of the shots will be of when the couple were together having a good time. The performance part of this video will be set in the present time, so the past shots will...
