Universal Studios is an American global music corporation in California, and acts as a subsidiary company to French media conglomerate Vivendi. It is considered one of the three big music companies, along with Sony music and Warner music company.

Universal Studios is not only diversified on a product front, but also a geographical front, as the company's operations span across the globe. In addition Universal Studios is diversified through its global operations, for example it has signed artists and sold CD's and other forms of media on every major continent, bringing in a bigger income, and becoming globally renown. 

A conglomerate is a combination of two or more corporations engaged in entirely different businesses that fall under one corporate group, usually involving a parent group and subsidiary companies. Often, a conglomerate is a multi-industry company. Conglomerates are often large and multinational.
